EA Today
Today, EA is a diverse network of individuals and groups spanning over 70 countries—including students, professionals, researchers, and volunteers—working together to improve the world in measurable ways:

Effective Altruism Cyprus
EA Cyprus was established in January 2025 and serves as the local hub for the Effective Altruism movement in Cyprus. We organize regular meetups, discussions, and social events to help people learn about EA principles and connect with like-minded individuals.
Although Cyprus is a small country, it has a remarkably diverse population beyond the original Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities. Around 20% of residents are non-Cypriots, including significant Pontian Greek, British, Bulgarian, Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Syrian, and African communities. This diversity enriches our EA group with varied perspectives and experiences.
Our group brings together people with diverse backgrounds and expertise, fostering collaboration and new ideas in an environment that balances unstructured social time with lightly structured activities.
